Syllabus

Analysis of the institutional environment of firms‘ HRM policies such as social security systems, unions and employer organizations, work councils, employment protection and discrimination.

Objectives

Students gain a deeper understanding of the institutional framework in which HRM policies operate. Knowledge about theoretical models and empirical methods will be provided which can be applied to relevant problems. Students learn to assess the impact of institutional frameworks for firms’ policies.
